Water treatment
-
Disinfection
Most water requires some type of water treatment before drinking, even water from deep wells or springs. -
Chlorination
Despite the existence of chlorine-free methods of disinfection, chlorination still remains the most common method of disinfection of drinking water.
-
Ozonation
Ozonation of drinking water is an effective method of disinfection, but not as cheap, and therefore not as common as chlorination or treatment with hypochlorite. -
Other methods
High adsorption and ion exchange properties of glauconite and hydrobiotite determine the possibility of their use for water purification and softening.
